Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer

Pay: £23.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment: Full-time

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer to join a professional and growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, testing, fault finding and commissioning of fire alarm systems across a variety of commercial and customer sites.

This position would suit an experienced engineer who has a strong technical background, takes pride in their workmanship and is committed to providing a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

Install, service, test and maintain fire alarm systems.
Carry out commissioning and handover of new and existing fire alarm systems.
Complete fault finding and diagnostic work efficiently.
Undertake routine maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
Ensure fire alarm systems are operating correctly and in accordance with relevant standards.
Complete commissioning certificates, service reports and other required documentation.
Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and other contractors.
Identify and report any defects, remedial works or compliance issues.
Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and relevant health and safety legislation.
Maintain a professional standard of workmanship at all times.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful Fire Alarm Engineer & Commissioning Engineer will ideally have:

Previous experience working with fire alarm systems.
Strong commissioning and fault-finding experience.
Knowledge of relevant fire alarm standards and regulations.
The ability to read and understand system drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A full UK driving licence.
Relevant fire alarm qualifications and manufacturer training would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring fire alarm systems are installed, commissioned, maintained and operating to a high standard, providing customers with reliable and compliant fire protection systems.
