Fire Alarm Design Engineer

Our client, a well-established and growing fire protection specialist, is looking to recruit a Fire Design Engineer to join their team, supporting projects across London and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a diverse range of commercial projects, designing compliant fire detection and life safety systems from concept through to completion. You'll collaborate with project managers, clients and installation teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Design fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839 and relevant industry standards.

* Produce detailed design drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

* Carry out site surveys where required.

* Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams to develop effective design solutions.

* Review project specifications and ensure designs meet client requirements.

* Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

* Ensure all designs comply with current fire safety legislation and best practice.

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience in a Fire Design Engineer or similar role.

* Strong knowledge of fire alarm system design and BS 5839.

* Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.

* Good understanding of fire safety regulations and industry standards.

* Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

* Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
