V7 Recruitment is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technical Consultant for a 6-month contract based in Brentwood, Essex.

This is an office-based technical role focused on reviewing completed fire alarm works, technical compliance and certification across a reactive and PPM contract.

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical fire alarm background who understands BS 5839 and has experience reviewing documentation and signing off fire alarm certification.

The Role

Review completed fire alarm works and associated documentation
Review and sign off fire alarm certification
Check certification and supporting evidence for accuracy and compliance
Ensure works meet BS 5839 and relevant industry standards
Identify non-conformances and advise on remedial works required
Provide technical guidance to engineers
Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Liaise with engineers and clients regarding technical queries
Maintain accurate certification and compliance recordsExperience Required

Strong technical background within the fire alarm industry
Excellent working knowledge of BS 5839
Previous experience reviewing or signing off fire alarm certification
Experience within fire alarm design, commissioning, inspection or compliance
Good knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and certification
FIA or equivalent fire alarm qualifications advantageous
BAFE or similar quality framework experience beneficialContract Details
