Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Gloucester — hybrid, with territory across Gloucestershire and surrounding counties

Type: Permanent, full time

Reporting to: Sales Director

Base salary: £30,000 – £40,000 depending on experience

OTE: £60,000+ (uncapped commission)

About my client: independently owned specialist security and entry solutions company, over 30 years in business, working across healthcare, education, leisure and commercial sectors. Portfolio covers access control, IP CCTV, intercoms, intruder alarms, automatic doors, barriers and gates.

The role: new business generation across commercial sectors, building and managing a pipeline from first contact to completion, preparing quotations and proposals, negotiating and closing, and working alongside operations to deliver. This is a hunter role, not account management.

Essential:

- Minimum 2 years' B2B business development or field sales

- Demonstrable record of winning new business at senior stakeholder level

- Strong proposal writing and pricing ability

- Comfortable cold calling and self-generating leads

- Full UK driving licence and access to a fully insured vehicle

- UK work authorisation

- Background in security systems, building services, M&E, facilities management or related industry

- CRM and service management system experience

Package: uncapped commission, performance and annual bonuses, profit share, company car or car/ mileage allowance, mobile phone, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, contributory pension, full private medical, health and wellbeing programme.
