Fire Door Carpenter

Straight-line Group are currently hiring an experienced fire door fitter to work with an established company in Manchester.
Role overview
the role focuses on:
* Installing, maintaining, and inspecting fire doors
* Ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations (e.g. BS 8214, BS 476, Fire Safety Order 2005)
* Working across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
* Carrying out remedial works and upgrades
* Supporting overall fire safety compliance for buildings
The company itself delivers fire door installation, inspections, and safety compliance for councils and housing providers
Typical duties

* Install fire-rated doors, frames, seals, and ironmongery
* Inspect existing doors and identify defects
* Carry out repairs or replacements
* Ensure correct fitting to meet fire resistance standards
* Complete compliance reports and documentation
* Work independently or as part of a team across multiple sites
Requirements
Common expectations include:
* Experience in fire door fitting or carpentry/joinery
* Knowledge of passive fire protection systems
* Understanding of UK fire regulations
* CSCS card (often required)
* Ability to work on-site and travel

Salary offered:
