Fitter/ Body Engineer

Our Client a leading manufacturer, fitter, and servicer of commercial vehicle bodywork, is seeking experienced Fitters to join their growing team. We specialize in providing top-notch mechanical and electrical services with a multi-skilled workforce, and you'll be a valued member collaborating with these engineering craftsmen!

About the Role:

Manufacture, fit out, and service a variety of commercial vehicle bodies.

Install and maintain complex mechanical and electrical systems.

Utilize your expertise in hydraulics, pipework, and general fitting tasks (spannering, bolting, drilling).

Work collaboratively to ensure efficient project completion and maintain the highest quality standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to commercial vehicle bodywork.

Who We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Fitter or a related trade (e.g., Vehicle Body Repairer).

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

Demonstrated proficiency in working with hydraulics and pipework systems.

Experience with general fitting tasks, including using various tools (e.g., spanners, wrenches, drills).

A commitment to quality workmanship and a meticulous approach to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the team.

The ability to work independently while also being a team player.

A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies in the commercial vehicle industry.

Bonus Points:

Experience with electrical systems on commercial vehicles.

Welding skills (a plus, but not mandatory).
