Are you an experienced Fitter Fabricator looking for a permanent days-based role with a growing engineering manufacturer?

We’re recruiting for a Fitter / Fabricator to join a busy production team in Rugby, working on specialist commercial vehicle equipment. You’ll be involved in both fabrication and mechanical fitting, building and assembling chassis-mounted frames, components and associated equipment from engineering drawings.

What’s on offer:

* Up to £16.00 per hour

* Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30

* 40-hour working week

* Permanent, full-time position

The role:

* Fabricating and fitting chassis-mounted frames and components

* Working from engineering drawings and specifications

* Marking out and preparing materials

* Using cutting equipment, drills, grinders and other workshop machinery

* Assembling mechanical components and associated equipment

* Working alongside other production teams to complete builds efficiently

What we need:

* Previous fitting and fabrication experience

* Background within commercial vehicles, plant machinery, heavy engineering or similar

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Confident using hand tools and fabrication equipment

* Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in vehicle body building, basic welding, forklift operation or overhead crane use would be useful, but isn’t essential.
