Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–2:30pm
Future Shift: Once fully trained, the role will move onto nights: 10:00pm–8:00am, 4-on/4-off shift pattern
Pay: Weekly

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Water Jet / Flame Cutting Machine Operator to join an established engineering company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous flame cutting machine operating experience who is looking to develop their skills within a specialist engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Operating water jet and/or

* flame cutting machinery

* Loading and unloading materials safely

* Setting and operating machinery in accordance with production requirements

* Working from job specifications and engineering information

* Ensuring finished components meet the required standards

* Carrying out basic quality checks

* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

* Following all company health & safety procedures

* Working towards production targets and deadlines

* Carrying out other general machine-operating duties as required

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Flame cutting, Oxy proprane or profile burner is required.

- We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

- Industrial machine operation

- CNC machinery

- Engineering or manufacturing environments

- Metalworking

- Production machinery

- Reading basic measurements or engineering drawings

We're looking for someone who is:

* Reliable and hardworking

* Mechanically minded

* Comfortable working around industrial machinery

* Able to follow instructions and work safely

* Willing to learn and develop new skills

* Comfortable working as part of a team

Working Hours & Pay

Initial day shift:

* Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm

* Friday: 8:00am–2:30pm

* 30-minute unpaid lunch

* Two 10-minute paid breaks

Once fully trained:

* 10:00pm–8:00am

* 4-on / 4-off shift pattern

* Pay: £17.88 per hour

The role is temp-to-perm, providing an opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
