Flexographic Printer open to litho/ gravure also

Flexographic Printer (will consider training candidates from Litho / Gravure background)

Location - Rossendale, Lancashire

Hours - Continental shifts, Monday to Friday, covering both days and nights (6.45am-7pm / 6.45pm -7am). Week 1 circa 45 hours and week 2 circa 33.75 hours

There is an option to do Monday to Thursday shift rotating days and nights

Company:
Established over 30 years ago this company is BRC-certified and serve as an approved food packaging supplier to major UK and international brands.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operating both manual and semi-automatic machines, including 4-colour stack presses and an 8-colour CI press
* Monitoring machinery output to meet and exceed production targets
* Identifying and resolving print issues
* Conducting shift handovers to ensure smooth production transitions, including briefing the next shift and checking machinery
* Optimising changeovers while maintaining health, safety, and quality standards
* Mounting print plates and colour matching as needed
* Following lean manufacturing practices, including SMED and 5S principles
* Maintaining a clean, safe work environment by addressing spills immediately and promoting safety

Candidate Requirements:
* Preferably have experience of Flexographic Printer, specifically Carrera/ Uteco Stack Presses and 8 colour Windmoller Astraflex. However, if you don't have this they would consider someone with basic Print Room knowledge.
* Must have experience in print
* NVQ in Print (desirable but not essential)
* High attention to detail and meticulous approach
* Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Basic computer skills
* Excellent time-keeping and attendance
