Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant

My client, an innovative, well-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts in the diverse, riverside city of Bristol.

Essential Criteria:

- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field

- Extensive experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Mitigation, and SuDS

- Experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments and SAB Applications

- Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (such as S104 and S106), and their applications within the industry

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage WinDES, and other, similar software packages

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to possess the following skills:

- An understanding of Tuflow

- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows software systems (including Excel, Word, etc.)

- Ability to work on own initiative, as well as with a team

In the diverse role of Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will join a specialist team of design experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:

- Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and speculations

- Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects

- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, and other agreements

- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
