RG SETSQUARE IS CURRENTLY WORKING WITH A SOCIAL HOUSING CONTRACTOR SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED FLOOR LAYER

Job title: Floor Layer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £32000 per annum
Monday to Friday
8am-4:30pm.

Benefits: Company van and fuel card provided
23 days + Bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:
* Flooring Installation: Carry out installation of a range of floor coverings including vinyl, LVT, carpet tiles, and safety flooring across social housing properties.
* Void Properties: Complete flooring works in void properties to ensure they are finished to a high standard and ready for re-letting.
* Preparation Works: Prepare subfloors including cleaning, levelling, and minor repairs to ensure correct installation.
* Repairs & Maintenance: Undertake repairs and replacement of damaged or worn flooring within occupied and void properties.
* Quality Standards: Ensure all flooring work is completed to a high standard, meeting client specifications and expectations.
* Health & Safety: Follow all company health and safety procedures and ensure safe working practices at all times.
* Customer Service: Work in occupied properties with care and professionalism, minimising disruption to tenants.
* Teamwork: Work alongside other trades and supervisors to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule.

As a Floor Layer, you will play a key role in the refurbishment and maintenance of social housing properties. The Floor Layer will be responsible for delivering high-quality flooring installations across a range of housing stock. This Floor Layer role requires precision, reliability, and strong practical skills.

Key Requirements:
* Proven Experience: Previous experience as a Floor Layer or in a similar role within social housing or property maintenance is preferred.
* Trade Skills: Strong experience in fitting a range of flooring types including vinyl, carpet, and LVT.
* Full UK Driving License: Must have a valid driving license.
* Practical Skills: Strong hands-on ability with excellent attention to detail.
* Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and tenants.
* Self-Motivated: Able to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
* Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* Health & Safety Awareness: Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
