This job description is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be required to undertake any other reasonable duties discussed and directed by your line manager.
What you will do:
As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you'll have the opportunity to lead by example and inspire our waitstaff and bartenders to deliver exceptional service. With your expertise, you'll create a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets us apart from the rest. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in driving excellence in both café service and event operations, helping us maintain our reputation for top-notch hospitality.
Your key areas of responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor waitstaff and bartenders to maintain a positive work environment.
Coordinate staff schedules, manage shift rotations, and delegate tasks for smooth daily operations.
Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring high standards of service are consistently met.
Set the tone for exceptional customer service by warmly greeting guests and meeting their needs.
Oversee beverage preparation and service, showcasing mixology skills and maintaining quality.
Collaborate with bartenders to maintain a well-organized bar area and ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is in top condition.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of drink offerings and enhance guest experiences
Coordinate orders between waitstaff, bartenders, and kitchen teams for timely delivery of food and beverages.
Monitor dining areas to manage guest expectations and address service-related issues promptly.
Uphold stringent food safety practices, ensuring proper food handling, storage, and presentation.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation throughout the establishment, maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Collaborate with Event Managers to execute successful events, overseeing setup, service, and breakdown.
Provide supervision during events, managing staff assignments and ensuring flawless event operations.
Conduct training sessions for new and existing team members, fostering professional growth and development.
Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to enhance team members' skills
Liaise with Front desk staff, Supervisors, F&B Management, Head Chef, and Events Managers to identify and resolve any issues.
Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards, Health & Safety regulations, and other company policies.
Whats good to have:
2+ years of experience in a high-end establishment, such as a hotel, private members club, or fine dining restaurant, with a focus on bartending or barista skills.
Proven track record of delivering exceptional service as a waiter and bartender.
Strong leadership abilities, with a talent for inspiring and guiding diverse teams to achieve excellence.
In-depth knowledge of mixology, beverage service, and food safety practices to ensure impeccable standards.
Proficient in POS systems and inventory management to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and during peak periods and events.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as needed.
Hands-on approach with a proactive attitude, able to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, customers, and management.
Always presented in clean uniform in line with Cromwell Place's high standards of presentation.
