Zachary Daniels is looking for a passionate and commercially minded Food Manager to lead a fast-paced, customer-focused food department within a well-established and successful retail destination in Reading.

As the Food Department Manager, you'll take full ownership of operations, team leadership, and commercial performance. You'll be the driving force behind creating an exceptional shopping experience, ensuring high standards across fresh, ambient, chilled, and seasonal categories.

• Lead from the front as the department's Food Manager, inspiring your team with clear goals and energetic leadership

• Set and maintain exceptional standards of service, availability, and food quality

• Take full responsibility for achieving KPIs, driving sales, and managing margins

• Make commercial decisions that increase profitability and improve the customer journey

• A proven Food Manager or department leader with experience in a high-volume food retail environment (supermarket, convenience, or wholesale)

• Strong understanding of compliance, food safety, stock control, and availability

• Commercially sharp, operationally excellent, and confident making data-driven decisions
