Omega are delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in the recruitment of a Food Quality Analyst to join their well-established R&D laboratory in the Leicester area, supporting analytical testing across routine quality control, product innovation, and manufacturing activities.

This is a hands-on laboratory role focused on delivering accurate and reliable test results across a range of food quality parameters. The position would suit someone with experience in food testing who enjoys practical laboratory work and working within structured quality processes.

Main Duties - Food Quality Analyst

Carry out routine analytical testing including oil, salt, and moisture analysis
Operate and maintain titrators and other laboratory testing equipment
Prepare samples and conduct testing in line with standard laboratory procedures
Perform calibration, routine checks, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
Accurately record, interpret, and report test results within laboratory systems
Support quality testing for product innovation, shelf-life studies, and manufacturing requirements
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Investigate and escalate any issues relating to test results, equipment, or analytical methods
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient laboratory environment
The Ideal Candidate - Food Quality Analyst

Experience working within a food laboratory, quality control, or testing environment
Hands-on experience using titrators/titration methods would be highly advantageous
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency
Good understanding of laboratory safety and quality procedures
Comfortable working with routine testing methods and structured processes
Experience using LIMS software
Relevant scientific qualification would be beneficial but not essential
