Job Description - Food Service Grill Cook

Food Service Grill Cook

Responsibilities

Preps daily breakfast and lunch items per the weekly menu
Takes orders from guests and prepares items accordingly
Serves guests in an efficient, friendly manner
Ensures all food is at the correct temperature and logged into the temperature book
Uses approved recipes and productions standards to ensure a consistent, quality product
Carries pots and pans of food to and from workstations, stove and refrigerator
Stores food in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, labeling and food safety rotation procedures
Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment and utensils
Performs other duties as assigned by Holtec Café Management

Requirements

Positive, helpful attitude toward customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately
Team player
Ability to work a flat top, fryer, grill and other kitchen equipment
Basic food knowledge
Basic math and reading skills
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time
Knowledge of register operation, including cash, credit cards and register receipts
Must have ability to work with and lead other crew members, as well as the ability to take direction from Supervisor/Manager.
SERV safe certification is a plus, but not a requirement

The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
