Are you a detail-driven Specification Technologist with a passion for food safety and product compliance? We're working with a highly successful UK food manufacturer that supplies premium pre-prepared meat products to leading supermarkets, food service providers, and home meal kit companies. As their operation continues to expand, they're looking for a Food Specification Technologist to join their team.

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring that all product data and specifications meet internal standards, customer expectations, and UK/EU legislative requirements. Working closely with the NPD, Technical, and Commercial teams, you’ll help drive accuracy, compliance, and launch readiness across all product lines.

• Write and maintain product and customer specifications via major UK retailer portals

• Manage product launch timelines, artwork approvals, and label compliance

• Liaise with suppliers and account managers for spec reviews and updates

• Support NPD and technical teams with regulatory guidance and customer codes

• Maintain internal trackers, specification libraries, and technical documentation

• Participate in internal audits and support external audit preparation

• Review and approve product artwork and on-site packaging against UK/EU regulations

• Assist with export documentation and technical attestations

• Level 3 HACCP / Food Safety and Internal Auditing certification (preferred)

• Previous experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
