Job Title: Food Teacher (Catering and Food Preparation)

Pay Rate: £30,000 - £50,000

Hours: 8.00 – 16.00

Smart Education are working with a Secondary School located in the heart of the West Midlands, situated between the Airport and the city centre. This school are looking to appoint a Food Teacher to join them for the New Academic Year to teach Food, Catering and Nutrition to pupils aged 11-16. The role can be offered on a permanent or 1 year contract basis that will run through to the end of the academic year 2025/26.

This school are the heart of the local community, located in an area of high deprivation the school offers a transformative experience for their pupils, and was graded as a ‘Good’ school in their most recent Ofsted. The successful applicant will be a qualified Teacher with experience teaching Food. The school are also encouraging applications from DT Teachers comfortable teaching food. Job Requirements for this Food Teacher role:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Valid Child DBS (Or be willing to get one)
• Patience, empathy and a commitment to serving the pupils you support to the best of your ability
• Clear understanding and commitment to safeguarding
• Ability to offer differentiated teaching as required
• Strong communication and teamwork to work with the erst of the staff team.
