Food Technician - Full-Time | Greenwich

Location: Greenwich, London
Hours: 5 days per week | Full-time

Are you an experienced Food Technician with a strong knowledge of food technology, practical skills, and a passion for supporting young people in their learning?

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Food Technician or similar role, alongside strong practical and technical knowledge within the field. A relevant degree or qualification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and organise food ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
Support teaching staff and students during food technology and practical sessions.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety.
Manage and maintain food technology equipment and stock.
Assist with ordering and monitoring supplies and resources.
Ensure the food technology facilities are safe, organised, and well maintained.
Provide practical support to students, helping them develop their skills and confidence.

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a relevant food-related role.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, hygiene, and health and safety.
A relevant degree or qualification is desirable.
Excellent organisational and practical skills.
A proactive, reliable, and positive approach to work.
