About the Role:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons across all Key Stages, fostering a love of learning and a practical understanding of food science and nutrition.


• Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that promotes creativity, experimentation and a respect for healthy eating habits.


• Develop and implement a rigorous curriculum that meets national standards, while also incorporating innovative and contemporary approaches to food education.


• Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure all students reach their full potential.


• Contribute to the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues across departments and participating in school events.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Food Technology Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong track record of success in a secondary school setting.


• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for food science, nutrition, and healthy eating.


• The ability to create engaging and practical lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.


• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students.


• IT literate with a willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom.
