Join a vibrant and inclusive secondary special school dedicated to supporting young people with moderate and severe learning difficulties. We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Class Teacher with a specialism in Food Tech/Catering to join our school’s dynamic team.

Day-to-Day of the Role

• Teach Food Tech/Catering and core subjects across Key Stage 3.

• Inspire and engage pupils, staff, and the community through innovative and creative teaching methods.

• Build supportive and trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

• Deliver high-quality education tailored to the needs of young people with special educational needs.

• Maintain responsibility for the academic and social progress of assigned classes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent.

• Experience in teaching pupils with SEND is desirable.

• Strong ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and enthusiasm.
