Aspire People are looking for a Food Technology Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Cardiff on a full-time basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience or a strong interest in Food Technology, Catering, Hospitality or Education who enjoys supporting young people in a practical learning environment.

👩‍🍳 The Role Includes

🍳 Supporting students during Food Technology lessons
🔪 Assisting with practical cooking and food preparation activities
🧑‍🏫 Supporting the Food Technology teacher with classroom activities
👥 Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required
🧹 Helping maintain a safe, clean and organised practical classroom
🌟 Encouraging students to develop confidence and practical skills

✅ We're Looking For

🍴 Experience or qualifications in Food Technology, Catering or Hospitality is desirable
👩‍🍳 Practical cooking or food preparation experience
👥 Experience working with children or young people is desirable
🧠 A patient, supportive and positive approach
🛡️ Strong awareness of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
🤝 Ability to work effectively as part of a school team
