Job Title: Foods separation Financial reporting sub-workstream lead
Work Level: WL2C
Location: 100VE (Other European locations will be considered)
Role Purpose
The Foods separation project intends to separate Unilever’s global Foods business. The separated Foods Company will be integrated into McCormick and will become one of the world’s largest Food companies, generating annual revenues of ca. $20 billion.
This role is part of the M&A Finance separation team and will require someone who works in a very agile way liaising and engaging with country finance, ComEx and Group teams including GCAD, tax and treasury to ensure timely completion of all financial reporting (FR) separation milestones. The role will provide significant exposure to global, regional and local stakeholders, at all levels of seniority within the Unilever business as well as with the future separated Foods business.

Key Responsibilities
• IFRS financials carve out:
o Ensure IFRS Financial carve out timeline is met, and Audit is completed OTIF for current and previous years.
o Support completion and sign-off of IFRS demerger financials, liaising with country controllers, GCAD and KPMG team.
• Opening Balance Sheet (OBS) and fixed asset transfer:
o Support completion and sign-off of OBS, coordinating with GCAD, country controllers and ComEx team
o As part of the OBS process act as coordinator across multiple project stakeholders to deliver the fixed asset transfer from Unilever to Foods including D0 sales invoicing completion.
• R2R plan operationalization:
o Understand and build the R2R L3 plan for both Day0 and Day1 in close connection with R2R project team and Foods team. Monitor and track against key operational readiness milestones.
o Partner ComEx and country local teams to ensure R2R processes and tools will be in place for both Day0 and Day1.
• Transitional service agreements (TSAs):
o Identify, scope and cost TSAs required for the separation.
o Lead the TSA sign-off process for local Finance TSAs liaising with country finance team on both Unilever and Foods side.
o For TSA-related issues, act as escalation point for Finance-related TSA issues and coordinate resolution with Foods counterparts.
• Stakeholder engagement:
o Collaborate with other Finance workstreams (GCAD, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, UniOps Comex) and functional leads (GTM, SC, Legal, HR).
o Interface with Group and local teams to ensure timely completion of separation milestones.
• Knowledge Transfer:
o Facilitate data and knowledge sharing between Unilever and the new Foods entity teams at both global and local level, where required
• Ad hoc support:
o Provide Finance input for additional project activities as required.
• Team leadership
o Provide direction and career development opportunities for relevant team member reporting into this role

About you
• Experience:
o Delivery of large-scale transformation programmes (preferred)
o Roles in controllership (in-country or Group) or R2R (preferred)
o Relevant finance degree or professional accounting qualification (beneficial)
• Competencies:
o Comfortable navigating change, learning completely new processes, and adapting to evolving project needs.
o Demonstrate energy, accountability, and drive to meet critical milestones in a complex, high-stakes project environment.
o Resilient under pressure, able to manage uncertainty, and maintain strong focus on priorities.
o Basic understanding of financial reporting, IFRS; ability to manage end-to-end processes, balancing strategic oversight with attention to detail.
o Skilled at collaborating across diverse teams and fostering knowledge transfer between organizations. Effective communicator, comfortable working remotely.

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
