Job Title: Foods separation - Planning & Country Engagement Lead
Location: 100VE (Other European locations will be considered)

JOB PURPOSE
The Foods separation project intends to separate Unilever’s global Foods business. The separated Foods Company will be integrated into McCormick and will become one of the world’s largest Food companies, generating annual revenues of ca. $20 billion.
This role will require a senior WL2 Finance manager who will be part of the separation team (not moving with the future separated Foods company). This job is an opportunity to work on one of Unilever’s biggest and most critical transformation projects over the next 18-24 months and will provide a unique learning experience to the successful applicant on managing a large business separation. The role will provide significant exposure to global, regional and local stakeholders at all levels of seniority within the Unilever business as well as with the future separated Foods business.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?
- Creation and maintenance of the overall Finance workstream project plan, ensuring key milestones and activities are identified and tracked; will be primary point of engagement for central Foods separation project management team for any plan-related concerns/questions
- Work with 1) Finance sub-workstream leads, 2) central project leadership, 3) other non-Finance workstream leads and 4) Foods Finance integration and McCormick team counterparts to ensure interdependencies are known and aligned to deliver overall project requirements
- Support Finance sub-workstream leads on delivery of their milestones, providing additional support if needed to deliver critical actions
- On behalf of Finance separation team and in coordination with the Finance establishment team, lead country engagements for Finance requirements, including management of Q&A from countries; lead or support engagements with other Finance stakeholders as needed
- Work hand-in-hand with Separation and Integration Change & Comms leads to ensure that engagements for Finance are aligned with total project requirements
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience working in various areas of Finance within Unilever
- Demonstrated capability in managing a large and complex global project, enabling delivery of milestones in a timely manner, and resolving issues as needed
- Experience engaging with and managing various local, regional, and global stakeholders at varying work levels
- Able to hold various stakeholders accountable for delivery of milestones, and simultaneously able to step in and support operational execution as needed to deliver requirements
- Capable of, and comfortable with, working with big picture and minute detail
- Proactively takes action as needed to complete work with minimal supervision; able to work remotely
DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY:
This role will give a unique opportunity to gain a deep insight into a complex business disposal from various finance perspectives as well as exposure to the senior leadership within Unilever.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
