Location: London

Salary: £42,000 per annum, with flexibility depending on experience

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Foot Mobile Building Services Engineer to join a medium-sized, fast-growing FM engineering and maintenance company, working across a varied portfolio of commercial sites.

This is a general building services maintenance role and would suit an engineer from either an electrical or mechanical background who has good all-round knowledge of commercial building services and is comfortable carrying out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

The role will be split across three days per week in Central London, one day per week in Wimbledon and one day per week in Maidenhead, with all travel between sites paid/expenses covered.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across commercial buildings.

* Undertake general building services and facilities maintenance tasks.

* Carry out routine plant room checks, inspections and basic fault finding.

* Complete fire alarm checks and testing as required.

* Carry out emergency lighting checks and testing.

* Complete FCU filter changes, cleaning and basic maintenance.

* Carry out general checks on mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.

* Identify faults and defects and either rectify them or escalate where specialist support is required.

* Assist with basic mechanical and electrical maintenance across the buildings.

* Carry out minor remedial works and general building services tasks.

* Complete routine inspections and ensure plant, equipment and services are operating correctly.

* Maintain accurate maintenance records, job reports and relevant documentation.

Requirements

* Recognised Level 2/3 qualification in either an electrical or mechanical discipline.

* Commercial building services / facilities maintenance experience.

* Good general knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.

* Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.

* Comfortable carrying out a varied range of general building services tasks.

* Able to work independently across multiple commercial sites.

* Good communication and customer service skills

Package

* Up to £42,000 per annum, with flexibility depending on experience.

* Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

* 3 days per week in Central London.

* 1 day per week in Wimbledon.

* 1 day per week in Maidenhead.

* All travel between sites paid/expenses covered.

* 30 days annual leave including bank holidays.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Building Services Engineer looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday position with a varied workload, working across a portfolio of commercial buildings in London and the surrounding areas.

The role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on and varied in their day-to-day work, rather than focusing solely on one particular trade or discipline.
