Forklift Driver / Overhead Crane Operator – Afternoon Shift

Location: Wednesbury
Pay Rate: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm | Friday, 12:00pm – 4:00pm

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for two Foundry Operatives with Counterbalance Forklift and Pendant Crane licences to join a well-established Iron and Steel Foundry based in Wednesbury.

Due to continued business growth and success, our client is expanding their Steel Division and is looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join their team on the afternoon shift.

These are excellent opportunities for candidates looking for ongoing work, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful trial period.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold valid certificates/licences for:

Counterbalance Forklift Truck

*

Pendant-Controlled Overhead Crane

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

*

Preparing and handling sand moulds.

*

Moving moulds safely using overhead cranes and forklift trucks.

*

Assembling and positioning cores.

*

Carrying out knock-out duties.

*

Supporting general foundry and steel production operations.

*

Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.

Working Hours

*

Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

*

Friday: 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Pay & Benefits

£14.00 – £16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
