Forklift Field Service Engineer

We are looking for an experienced field service engineer to join our forward-thinking client to help their team achieve their ambitious growth plans.

Working on customers sites and at their workshop, your role will be interesting and varied. Along with the ongoing requirement for servicing and preventative maintenance work, you will be expected to be able to carry out diagnosis and subsequent repair work to both clients and the company’s own equipment as well as carrying out thorough examination inspections.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

• In-depth mechanical and electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills
• Experience in a similar role is essential
• Experience of hydraulics and electrical equipment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise concisely with all levels of customers
• A flexible and helpful attitude to work
• To be able to work as part of a team or under your own initiative
• A full driving licence
• A tool kit

Within this position, you’ll also be:

• Servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of both company owned and customer forklift trucks ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised.
• Provide clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status and to advise actions that maybe required to maintain the equipment.
• Liaison with the parts department to ensure appropriate repairs are carried out to the required time frames.
• Completion of documentation to company standards
• Always Work within Health & Safety requirements.
• Computer literate
