Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Forklift Operative

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 8am–5pm (with Friday 7am–4pm)
Location: Letchworth

About the role
Our client is looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Operative / Forklift Operative to join their warehouse team. The role will involve general warehouse duties, goods in and out, loading and unloading vehicles, stock movement and completing relevant paperwork. A Flexi/Pivot forklift licence is preferred, although candidates with good Reach and/or Counterbalance experience will also be considered, with additional Flexi/Pivot training available for the right person.
Key responsibilities
Receiving, checking and booking in incoming goods.
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
Moving and storing stock using forklift equipment.
Preparing and dispatching outgoing orders.
Completing warehouse paperwork and maintaining accurate stock records.
Checking goods for damage, quality and quantity discrepancies.
Liaising with drivers, colleagues and other departments.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe warehouse environment.
Supporting general warehouse operations as required.

Essential Skills
Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a Goods In/Goods Out environment.
Flexi/Pivot forklift licence preferred.
Good Reach and/or Counterbalance experience will also be considered.
Full UK driving licence.
Good communication skills and basic IT knowledge.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Reliable, flexible and happy to get involved in all aspects of warehouse work.
