AM2PM are seeking motivated and skilled FLT (Forklift Truck) Drivers to join one of our well established clients in the Armley area, Leeds. A successful candidate will have prior experience operating forklifts, and be willing to upskill to Flexi and Bendi trucks.
Responsibilities of a Forklift Truck Driver:
Operate Flexi/Bendi forklifts and other equipment as required to move and handle materials throughout the warehouse. Ensure safe and efficient transportation and storage of goods in adherence to company safety guidelines and best practices. Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring accuracy and care with all materials handled. Conduct pre-use checks on forklift equipment and promptly report any defects or safety concerns. Assist with general warehouse activities, including organizing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and stock management. Accurately record data related to stock movements and inventory using company systems. Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements of a Forklift Truck Driver:
Valid FLT Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR training preferred). Previous experience handling Flexi/Bendi forklifts or similar equipment is desirable but not essential. Prior warehouse experience, with the ability to maintain organization and prioritize tasks. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock handling and reporting. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Dependable, punctual, and a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities of a Forklift Truck Driver:
Utilize forklifts to manage stock movement, ensuring timely materials distribution and organization. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate on logistics, loading, and unloading operations. Maintain inventory accuracy by logging stock levels and ensuring goods are properly labeled and stored. Regularly inspect the warehouse for cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
