Foundation Learning Lecturer

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible educator to deliver high-quality instruction and tailored learning support to students within a foundational education programme.

Role Responsibilities

Design and deliver high-quality, inclusive lesson materials that adapt to the varied academic and functional needs of individual learners.

Coordinate initial academic assessments to identify specific support requirements and monitor student progression across modules.

Manage student conduct and support classroom discipline proactively in accordance with established institutional standards and frameworks.

Oversee and guide learning support assistants while collaborating on quality monitoring and internal verification processes.

Champion student welfare by strictly adhering to institutional policies regarding health, safety, and the protection of vulnerable groups.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience teaching post-16 learners and adapting educational approaches to motivate students with diverse abilities.

Strong organizational capabilities with a track record of meeting strict deadlines and efficiently managing independent workloads.

Solid written and verbal communication skills, complemented by competent digital capabilities for educational delivery.

Minimum of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent qualification) in both Mathematics and English Language.

Absolute commitment to student protection, backed by a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and awareness of safeguarding duties.

Desired but not essential: Possession of a formal teaching credential (such as a Certificate in Education) or an undergraduate degree.
