Foundation Phase Class Teacher

Vetro Education are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Foundation Phase Class Teachers to work across Primary schools in and around Ely, Cardiff. This thriving school in the heart of the community are looking for Foundation class teachers for the new academic year (September 2024).

The school is looking for enthusiastic teachers who are good at managing classroom behaviour and who strive to make a difference.

Overview:

Title: Foundation Phase Class Teacher

Pay: £157.66 per day minimum

Location: Ely, Cardiff

Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term, and Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Foundation Phase Class Teacher

Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2

Welcome learners at the start of the day

Preparing the classroom for lessons and planning work where required

Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs on occasions

Deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum

Assist learners at break time with their lunch where required

Engage learners with both classroom and out of classroom activities

Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies

The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Foundation Phase Class Teacher

At least 1 year of teaching experience (exceptions made for NQTs)

Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent

Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this

References covering the last two years (no gaps)

Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
