Job DescriptionAbout Your Patient ChoiceYour Patient Choice is creating a new NHS technology-enabled healthcare provider for both mental and physical health. We are driven by the vision of making free NHS healthcare accessible and higher quality for patients, and more affordable for the NHS. We are unique as:We have built our own innovative patient-centred care pathways. These are delivered by our internal clinical teams using our in-house technology platform.Our founders (medical doctor Mark Jenkins and healthcare entrepreneur Darshak Shah) have previously built tech-enabled providers in NHS obesity and ophthalmology care (treating over 1 million patients in the last 10 years), and want to bring these lessons to all outpatient specialties.We are able to move fast as we have raised funds from leading healthcare investors Triple Point and Heal Capital, as well as expert angels who deeply understand the NHS.Our first service, autism assessments for children and teens, is launching soon, and will be followed by ADHD assessments and treatment for children, teens and adults, and dementia assessments and treatment for adults. We know 184,000 people are waiting 2-10 years for an NHS autism assessment today, and we need your help to shorten this wait! (https://www.autism.org.uk/what-we-do/news/autism-assessment-waiting-times-6)The OpportunityWe are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Founders Associate and Generalist to support our founders across People, Finance, Data, Governance, NHS Service Management and emerging strategic topics. In this broad role, you will shape and lead many new critical initiatives within the business, setting up systems and processes for our long term success. As an early stage startup, the Founders Associate will be the sole person working across these areas as an individual contributor. As the business scales, we will hire into each of these functions, and the candidate will have the option to specialise or progress into management.Responsibilities:Within People & HR:Recruiting: Partnering with hiring manager to own job adverts and applicant trackingOnboarding: Process all new hires (including pre-employment checks)People IT system expert: Define system requirements, selection, configuration and implementation, including completing all team surveysTraining & Development: Implement a training approach including training matrix, provider sourcing and tracking of completion in People IT systemWithin Finance:Financial reporting: working with our external accountants to monitoring spending, budget and forecast cash flowsPayments: Sending invoices for payment, and processing supplier invoicesSpecific budget allocation and monitoring: SaaS tool licences and spend, travel, socialsOffice: lease and general management including social eventsWithin Data:Partnering with our Engineering and Data Team on any emerging data topicsGovernance:Clinical Governance: Setting up systems and processes in partnership with the clinical and product teams to ensure robust clinical governance, in line with our Care Quality Commission Registration. Information Governance: Setting up systems and processes in partnership with the CEO and engineering teams, in line with NHS requirements (e.g. DTAC and DSPT)Service Management:Supporting NHS service launch which can be a breath of topics but includes local staffing, translation supplier sourcing and venue sourcing and management.Founder support:Partnering with the founders to work on arising strategic topics potentially covering supplier selection, board reporting, investor relations, and fundraising.Qualifications and experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced startup or similar high energy/growth environment, ideally in healthcare.Ability to work at pace and be detail oriented to avoid unnecessary errors.Strong prioritisation and task management, you will be working across a lot of topics and need a robust approach to keep on top of things.Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly across the organisation from junior to senior staff.Prior experience with People, Finance, Data and Governance is beneficial but not essential.Don’t meet every requirement?
