As they embark on a significant corporate transition and prepare for an exit, they are seeking a seasoned Commercial Finance Consultant to join their team. This pivotal role requires someone with deep expertise in multi-site operations within the hospitality sector, and a keen understanding of financial diligence and strategic modelling.Role Overview:You will be instrumental in managing and interpreting the data room, collaborating with external advisors on due diligence (DD) processes, and particularly focusing on financial due diligence (FDD). Your insights and recommendations will directly influence strategic decisions and guide company management through this transformative period.Key Responsibilities:· Data Room Management: Interpret and organize critical financial information within the data room, ensuring all documents are accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible for review.· Due Diligence (DD): Work closely with external advisors on all aspects of due diligence, with a primary focus on financial due diligence (FDD). Evaluate financial statements, forecasts, and other key financial metrics.· Strategic Model Review: Assess and enhance the company’s strategic financial model. Provide robust analysis and suggest improvements to align with business goals and the exit strategy.· Management Guidance: Present findings and insights to company management. Advise on the financial implications of various strategic decisions, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.· Sector Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of the multi-site hospitality industry to contextualize financial data and market trends, providing tailored advice to the business.Required Experience and Skills:· Sector Expertise: Proven experience in the multi-site hospitality industry is essential.· Financial Acumen: Strong background in financial modeling and analysis, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A).· Due Diligence Proficiency: Expertise in managing and interpreting financial due diligence processes.· Strategic Thinking: Ability to review and refine complex financial models and align them with business objectives.· Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.Qualifications:· Professional Background: Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification.· Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).
