Are you a commercially minded finance professional looking to step into a true business-facing FP&A role?

A well-established international engineering business is looking for an ambitious FP&A Analyst to join its UK finance team. This role blends hands-on forecasting, budgeting, and project analysis with strategic planning and stakeholder collaboration — perfect for someone eager to influence real business decisions.

You’ll join a collaborative team with exposure across UK and European operations, contributing to group planning cycles and supporting an upcoming SAP implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning (including 5-year models)
• Prepare and analyse P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts
• Track key KPIs and trends to support data-driven decisions
• Partner with department heads to guide financial strategy and performance
• Support internal and group reporting processes (actuals vs. forecast)
• Contribute to project margin and cost analysis
• Play a key role in the migration from Sage to SAP

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Solid grounding in FP&A, commercial finance, or financial analysis
• Experience building financial models and managing budgets/forecasts
• Skilled in KPI tracking, variance analysis, and stakeholder communication
• Comfortable in fast-paced, project-led environments (engineering, logistics, tech, etc.)
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
• Exposure to Sage or SAP is advantageous
• Qualified or finalist accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
