### FP\u0026A Business Partner\n\nLocation: Sheffield or Uxbridge Office. \n\nHybrid role : days a week in office. \n\nPurpose of the Role\n\nThe FP\u0026A Business Partner acts as a trusted commercial finance partner to UK stakeholders, providing high\u2011quality insight, challenge, and decision support across Sales and Operations. The role translates financial performance into clear actions that drive profitability, growth, and disciplined planning.\n\nThis position supports the wider UK Commercial Finance leadership team by bringing strong commercial acumen, proactive challenge, and continuous improvement in forecasting, reporting, and insight. The FP\u0026A Business Partner also plays a key role in cross\u2011functional projects and provides cover for the Finance Manager and FP\u0026A Manager when required. \n\nKey Duties \u0026 Responsibilities\n\nCommercial Excellence \u0026 Profitability\n\n * Lead financial performance management at client, segment, and country level\n * Deliver actionable insight to improve growth, margin, and return on investment\n * Partner with Sales and Operations to identify efficiency and cost\u2011saving opportunities\n\n\n\nStrategic Pricing \u0026 Contract Support\n\n * Provide financial leadership on pricing for new business, renewals, and commercial frameworks\n * Ensure strong governance, controls, and profitability analysis\n * Support senior stakeholders with deal evaluation and commercial decision\u2011making\n\n\n\nForecasting \u0026 Performance Challenge\n\n * Own the rolling forecast, ensuring quality, accuracy, and robust assumptions\n * Challenge drivers, risks, phasing, and variances versus Budget and Prior Year\n * Drive corrective actions with Sales Directors and operational leaders\n\n\n\nPlanning, Budgeting \u0026 Investment Appraisal\n\n * Lead preparation of financial plans, budgets, business cases, and investment appraisals\n * Ensure plans align to UK priorities and translate into clear KPIs and delivery cadence\n\n\n\nReporting \u0026 Executive Storytelling\n\n * Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packs\n * Provide clear variance analysis and concise commentary\n * Present financial insights effectively to leadership forums\n\n\n\nMonth\u2011End, Prelims \u0026 Financial Hygiene\n\n * Support strong prelims and close discipline\n * Ensure accuracy through reconciliations, accruals, and compliance with reporting timelines\n\n\n\nProcess Excellence \u0026 Capability Building\n\n * Continuously improve forecasting, reporting, and planning processes\n * Champion automation, standardisation, and best practice\n * Coach and support junior FP\u0026A colleagues where applicable\n\n\n\nThis list is not exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional responsibilities as reasonably requested\n\nKey Measures of Success\n\n * High\u2011quality, accurate, and well\u2011documented forecasts (\u226595% accuracy)\n * Timely and accurate month\u2011end submissions with clear variance insight\n * Measurable commercial improvements (e.g. margin uplift, efficiency gains)\n * Clear, compelling financial storytelling for senior stakeholders\n * Delivery of process or automation improvements that reduce manual effort or cycle time\n\n\n\n### Qualifications, Skills \u0026 Experience\n\nEssential Experience\n\n * Strong FP\u0026A or commercial finance background\n * Proven business partnering capability with non\u2011finance stakeholders\n * Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis\n\n\n\nDesirable Experience\n\n * Technology, services, or fast\u2011paced commercial environments\n\n\n\nTechnical Skills\n\n * Advanced Excel and financial modelling\n * Strong reporting and dashboard mindset (Power BI exposure beneficial)\n * Ability to work across multiple data sources and translate insight into action\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * Qualified or strong part\u2011qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent experience)\n\n\n\nAbout Insight: \n\nWe believe that by giving you the freedom to think big and empower you to reach your full potential, together we will achieve the best outcomes.
