FPGA Design Engineer - Contract

I am currently seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer - Contract for an exciting opportunity based in Edinburgh, Midlothian

Outside IR35 & Hybrid then Remote

This role offers the chance to work on highly advanced electronic systems within a collaborative engineering environment, supporting the development of cutting-edge technology.

The Role
You will be responsible for the design, development, verification, and integration of FPGA solutions, working across the full development lifecycle. The successful contractor will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contribute to both detailed design and architectural decisions.

Essential Skills for the FPGA Design Engineer - Contract
- Strong commercial experience in FPGA design and development
- Proven VHDL design experience
- Experience contributing to FPGA architecture and high-level design decisions
- FPGA verification and simulation experience
- Strong understanding of digital design principles
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Ideally, you are security cleared or can get security cleared

Desirable Experience
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
- High-speed interfaces
- Embedded systems development
- Safety-critical or mission-critical engineering environments
