Job Description - Freelance Content & Campaign Manager - Festivals and Events

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Content & Campaign Manager to join a fast-paced team working on the launch of a major live event. This role is freelance and full-time for one month, with a start date ASAP and an end date of 15 August (no leave permitted during this period).

With a growing portfolio of high-profile clients across festivals, venues, sports and hospitality, this role is ideal for an experienced marketer who thrives in fast-paced, creative environments.

You’ll report to the Head of Campaigns and work closely with a Content Executive to deliver high-impact marketing activity across both client and internal campaigns.
The role is based in Manchester, with four days a week in-office.

The Role: This is a hands-on role for an experienced event marketer with a track record of selling out shows. You’ll be supporting the launch of a major Christmas event and working across retained client campaigns. From planning and coordination to content development and stakeholder management, you’ll help deliver high-performing campaigns with speed, focus, and creativity.You’ll be working closely with both internal teams and clients to deliver campaigns that convert — particularly around two key dates (28 and 29 July), when full-day availability is critical. The Responsibilities: Event Launch
  • Support delivery of a major Christmas event launch campaign
  • Execute quickly with clear planning and high-quality recommendations
  • Coordinate marketing outputs and review content
  • Project manage stakeholders across internal and client teams
Marketing Support
  • Contribute to the marketing activity of a retained client group
  • Support campaign execution and enhance marketing materials
  • Help produce performance-driven creative across channels
Content & Comms
  • Brief and support paid social, email, and influencer content creation
  • Shape messaging and review creative
  • Align with social trends and steer execution toward ticket conversion
The Requirements: Must-Haves
  • 3+ years in live event, venue, or festival marketing
  • Strong campaign planning and delivery experience
  • Proven track record of driving high-ticket sales or event launches
  • Excellent social media management skills
  • Confident briefing/reviewing of design, video, and copy
  • Experience with performance content (paid, email, creators)
  • Strong communication skills under pressure
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Highly organised project management and reporting skills
  • In-depth knowledge of creator/content trends
  • Confident AI literacy
  • Hands-on content creation skills using:
    • CapCut, Canva, InShot, Adobe Express
    • Instagram Reels Editor, TikTok native editor
    • Meta Business Suite (for scheduling/optimisation)
    • AI tools such as Runway or Opus Clip
Important Commitments:
  • Must be available to start immediately

  • Freelance full-time availability through to 15 August

  • Full availability for long working days on 28 and 29 July

Good to Have:
  • Agency-side or multi-stakeholder experience
  • Familiarity with: Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, email marketing tools, Google Workspace
  • Ability to travel to client meetings or team sessions as required
Salary:

£35,000 – £42,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience
