Freelance QS

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance QS to join a large scale development in Gloucester.

The role:

* Overseeing subcontract management, including monthly valuations, payment assessments, variations and commercial queries

* Managing subcontractor procurement and package management, ensuring outstanding packages are procured in line with the construction programme.

* Implementing and managing change control, assessing variations, reviewing subcontractor quotations, agreeing costs and maintaining accurate change registers.

* Preparing monthly CVRs, cost reports, forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.

* Monitoring subcontractor performance against contractual obligations, programme requirements and commercial targets.

* Managing subcontractor variations, compensation events and loss and expense claims where applicable.

* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies and reporting potential cost exposure
