Freight Export Supervisor

Right Now Group are recruiting for an exciting opportunity. Our client is looking for an Freight Export Supervisor.

You will be joining a Large Cargo Handler and Consolidator as the day shift supervisor, you will be responsible for the team as well as managing End to End Exportation. The successful candidate will ideally have a background in Export Operations.

Duties of an Freight Export Supervisor:

• Coordinate air export files, including documentation data entry, shipment tracking, billing and delivery arrangements
• Ensure export files are completed to required standards
• Manage the shared mailbox
• Resolve customer queries effectively
• Assist in reception and receiving areas as necessary
• Coach and train team members when necessary
• Verify cargo Dimensions and weights
• Handle requirements for dangerous or controlled goods, ensuring proper permits/licenses are secured
• Communicate directly with airlines, vendors, warehouse and transport companies, sales reps and overseas agents

Requirements of an Freight Export Supervisor:

• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Extensive knowledge of the air freight industry
• Exceptional customer service skills both in person and via phone/email
• Familiarity with ASM Sequoia or similar systems
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Minimum 1 years' experience within Air Export Operations
• Proficiency in QD Reports, flight status, post flight processes and airline requirements
• A Strong desire to step up to a senior position

Additional Information:

• Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (Including Shift allowance)
• Hours: 4 on 4 off Days & Nights (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off) 08:00 - 20:00 / 20:00 - 08:00
