Freight Forwarder

Our client is looking for a Freight Forwarder for a permanent position, located in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
ROLE
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics, international shipping, and customs regulations. This role involves managing the transportation and logistics process for clients, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and manage international and domestic freight shipments.
Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, shipping lines, and other logistics partners.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and customs requirements.
Track and monitor shipments, providing updates to clients and resolving any issues that arise.
Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers and service providers.
