Freight Operations Assistant

Our client is a Freight Forwarding specialist based in Eccles now due to significant growth, my client is now looking for a Freight Operations Assistant to join the freight team.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in shipping multimodal freight, including Air, Sea and Road movements however experience in sea, road or air roles will be considered.

You will be a team player, motivated, punctual and customer service focused.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Schedule Air, Sea and Road bookings
. Dealing with suppliers and customers
. Requesting and negotiating freight rates
. Continuous updating of shipping progress
. Completion of end-to-end forwarding activities

REQUIREMENTS:
. Ideally Multi modal experience or just sea, air or road freight gained from the freight forwarding industry
. Develop existing and new customer relationships
. Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
. Punctual and presentable
. Willingness to learn and be part of a motivated, forward-thinking team
. Proven track record

PACKAGE & BENEFITS:

Job Type: Full-time - Working hours of 8AM-4:30PM, Mon-Fri
Salary: Up to £32,000.00 per year
