Freight Operators Supervisor

Right Now Group are recruiting for a small / medium sized Forwarder in the Heathrow area that are looking for an experienced Team Leader / Supervisor to join the team. As a Freight Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring service levels are met, and supporting a high-performing team. You will act as the main escalation point for operational issues while also driving efficiency, training new staff, and implementing process improvements.

• Supervise and support the operational team in daily activities.
• Serve as the escalation point for client issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Maintain high service levels and identify areas for improvement.
• Investigate and analyse operational failures, implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and mentor team members, encouraging professional growth.
• Identify and implement new procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Spot potential sales opportunities and liaise with the relevant teams.
• Assist the Operations Manager with various strategic and operational initiatives.

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience within a small to medium-sized freight forwarding company.
• Strong knowledge of Air, Sea, and Road Import & Export operations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
• Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Organised, proactive, and confident in making operational improvements.
• Willingness to check emails and monitor operations out of hours when required.
• AEO knowledge and experience is highly desirable.

• Regular performance check-ins and appraisals.

• £45,000 - £50,000 salary with growth potential.
• 20 days annual leave + bank holidays.
