Freight Warehouse Operative

We have an exciting opportunity to join a Specialist Freight Forwarder who work within the Events sector dealing with clients in the Entertainment, Media and Sports sector.

Duties will include -

Processing imports and exports within the warehouse

Using the forklift to unload inbound shipments from trucks safely and move freight to the appropriate storage location.

Record accurately the ins and outs of freight, record weights and dims and input data accurately into Boxtop (full training given).

Take pictures of freight and record as per any standard operating procedures.

Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents Build and wrap skids/pallets for outgoing shipments

Prepare for shipments, ensuring that the correct freight is loaded and shipped with all the correct documents.

Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

Perform picking duties for clients.

Report to ops any quality or quantity variances.

Essential Skills -

Must have previous experience working in a warehouse role

Familiarity with skidding and packing techniques an advantage

Knowledge of truck sizes and how to load and unload a truck an advantage

Be very physically fit and use to moving and standing for extended periods

Basic computer skills including how to manage emails on Outlook

Have a competent command of the English language including reading, writing and verbal communication

Hours 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Friday Weekend cover required on a rota basis, including bank holiday weekends. Overtime is paid for time worked.
