French Speaking Accounts Payable Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant French Speaking

Location: Blackburn (Permanent)

Salary: Up to £25,000 plus 5% bonus

I am currently partnered with a global organisation that is a market leader within their field. To support the continued growth of the business, they are recruiting for a French-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. This role involves managing accounts payable processes for French-speaking clients, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the end-to-end payment process and investigate any discrepancies.
Import daily payment processing reports onto SAP.
Communicate and document discrepancy and forgery reports.
Process supplier invoices and credit notes, and allocate payments to supplier accounts.
Perform monthly reconciliation of cash and card General Ledgers (GLs), writing off within a certain threshold and investigating items outside that threshold.
Post ad hoc journals as needed.
Monitor, escalate, and resolve issues with missing payments.
Upload fuel and shop expenses and investigate any variances.
Escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Conduct expense reconciliations.
Handle general administration and other ad-hoc duties as required.
Candidate Profile:

Fluent in French, both written and spoken.
Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
