Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with several well-regarded secondary schools in Northampton, each seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed French Teacher for a January 2026 start. These full-time opportunities offer long-term supply placements with the potential to transition into permanent roles depending on your preference and experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

Teaching French across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5/A-Level opportunities available in some schools)

Planning and delivering engaging lessons that build vocabulary, grammar knowledge, fluency, and cultural awareness

Supporting students of all abilities through differentiated teaching and constructive feedback

Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident speaking and using the language

Working collaboratively with the wider MFL department on curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment activities such as language clubs, cultural events, or overseas trips

What We're Looking For:

A qualified French teacher with QTS/QTLS or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge of the French curriculum and GCSE exam specifications (A-Level desirable but not essential)

A confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management and high expectations

Passionate about French language and Francophone culture, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners
