We have an exciting opportunity for a front-end-focused software developer to join our client’s team near Stoke on Trent. You will work on various projects and collaborate with Senior Software Developers and the business to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software, ensuring best practices and innovative approaches within the team.

Our client will support your learning through line management and mentoring, online training, but a proactive candidate who can motivate themselves is essential.

You must be highly motivated, analytical, and willing to work closely with all parts of the business. Responsibilities will include translating UI/UX designs into responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as integrating with .NET-based backends and diagnosing issues across the application stack.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in front-end web development
• Strong proficiency in ASP .Net/MVC
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Client-facing experience
• Proven track record of delivering projects from design to completion

Desirable Skills

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap
• Knowledge of VB .NET (desirable but not essential)
• Understanding of OOP principles and SOLID methodologies
• Experience with REST/SOAP API development
• Experience building eCommerce (or similar) solutions for large user bases in multiple languages
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
