Frontend Engineer - Stores

About the role:

Please note this is a Hybrid position, with required travel into the office once every 4-6 weeks. Office locations are London and Nuneaton.

We are looking for a passionate Frontend Engineer to help create applications for a number of different teams that include Internal tools. We need someone with an eye for detail and a passion for technology 

Responsibilities  

• Develop using TDD and peer-review in a CI/CD culture with strong support for iterative development cycles with an evolutionary design. 
• Define and evolve the portal's UI design and collaborate with the company's other frontend developers towards a shared UX.? 
• Architecting a scalable, secure, cloud-based solution to provide support for hundreds of concurrent users. 
• Work with user groups to uncover a continuous stream of improvements and strategic step changes in the capabilities and services provided by the portal. 
• Embrace a DevOps culture and sense of ownership of what you build. 

Key requirements:

• JavaScript, TypeScript, best coding practices 
• React, Node 
• Working with Gitlab repositories, CI/CD deployments 
• Knowledge of styling libraries such as Tailwind 
• Able to follow a gitflow type of working model while working alone as well as with others 
• An eye for detail and UX best practices 
• A passion for cutting edge technologies and innovation 
• Next.js knowledge very advantageous but not strictly necessary
• Experience with testing frameworks (cypress, jest) advantageous
