Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain scalable web applications and platforms in a mixed cloud (Azure + AWS) environment. The ideal candidate will work across the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. This role requires proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

Build and manage back-end services and APIs using Python and FastAPI/Flask.

Experience developing APIs based on modern indexes such as Elasticsearch.
Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software.
Maintain and update existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
Write technical documentation and assist in defining project requirements.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to streamline deployment processes.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Next.js.
Strong knowledge of front-end technologies: Python, Node.js, Next.js.
Familiarity with databases and Search Indexes: Elasticsearch and SQL-like databases.
Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment strategies.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Desirable Skills and Competencies

Experience with PyGeoAPI
Experience with Jira / ConfluenceThis will be 1 to 2 days a week on site in the Exeter office, the remaining days can be remote
