Full Stack Python Engineer

My client is a leading financial markets organisation undertaking a major cloud transformation programme and is looking for a Full Stack Python Engineer to join a business-critical team.

Working on a large-scale, business-critical application, you'll play a key role in modernising and simplifying a complex Python estate. The work will involve refactoring legacy code, breaking down monolithic applications into modular components, and supporting the migration of solutions from on-prem environments into AWS. This is a highly hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working on enterprise-scale systems.

Key Requirements:

5+ years' commercial experience as a Python Engineer, Python Developer, Software Engineer or Full Stack Engineer.
Expert-level Python development skills with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience.
Proven experience developing, maintaining and modernising large enterprise applications, including legacy code refactoring.
Strong experience with AWS, cloud migration projects, and modern software engineering practices.
Strong SQL skills, with experience working on data-intensive applications and data warehousing environments.
Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and cloud-native technologies.
Financial Services, Capital Markets or Risk systems experience.Nice to Have:
