About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of readers and writers. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating English lessons across the curriculum, catering to all Key Stages (Years 7-11).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating English lessons, fostering a love of language and literature in students.
  
  
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential in English.
  
  
  • Develop students' critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills through a variety of texts, including novels, poems, plays, and non-fiction.
  
  
  • Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable).

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified English Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience.


• A strong passion for the English language and literature and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement.


• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current trends in English Language teaching and literary criticism.


• Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
