Full-Time Food Tech Teacher Role for ECTs and Experienced Educators

A thriving secondary school in Hounslow is searching for a dynamic and qualified Culinary Arts Teacher (or Food & Nutrition Teacher) to join its dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to start in September 2024.

• Design and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons, igniting a passion for cooking and healthy eating in students across the curriculum.


• Develop and implement a rigorous food education program aligned with National Curriculum standards, fostering creativity and practical skills.

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, resource creation, and departmental initiatives to further develop the food education program.

• Cultivate strong and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Food & Nutrition, or a related field.


• Has a demonstrably successful track record of delivering engaging and effective food education lessons to secondary school students.


• Exhibits excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.


• Holds a genuine passion for food and a commitment to inspiring students to become confident and adventurous cooks.


• Prior experience in a school kitchen environment is a plus.


• Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
